The students and teachers who went togother for this event.
The headmistress welcomes Manfred Fuchs and is glad to have this special guest in the school.
Prof. Manfred Fuchs talks about his own school time, about the theachers of oneday and how it was at the institute of tecnology in the past. Everbody in suit at every excursion, today no more conceivable. He remembers with pleasure his education to pilote at the Aerclub Bozen. In Germany, later, he was able to study aircraft construction and it was highly interesting how he changed from a test pilot to the aerospace. He mentioned many time, the importance of his wife in that time.
After the report of Prof. Fuchs and a short pause, the satellite "Max Valier" was discussed. Ignacio, project manager in Bremen, not only demonstrated the satellite on the canvas, he brought with him also real parts of a satellite and let them pass through the students hands.
Willem Bode, a young student at the TU Bremen and trainee at the OHB, explained in an interesting way the processes of energy production and it seemed it is easy to build a satellite.
Prof. Kalnins of the TU Bremen told us about his Rubin satellites and there measure results and of recent rocket starts.
Ludwig Orgler, teacher at the GOB Bozen and project leader in Bozen, remembered that the satellite first of all is a project of students. So they will be involved in every step of the project. The headmistress agreed to that absolutely.
Later Prof. Fuchs mentioned that only who invests in himself is able to proceed in matters of knowledge and experience. It's needed enthusiasm, will, joy and much employment. He is the best example for that and he still shows enjoyment at work.
Christa Fuchs was surprised with a bouquet and said some final words. She thinks only enjoyment and employment isn't enough, the financial part is as least of identic importance. A cordial and loudly applause completed the day. |
